There's an old ghost town on State Route 329 in between Stewart and Amesville. There used to be a very bustling community with train travel coming in and out and a variety of schools and shops and post offices. Broadwell Ohio is now a ghost town. But people still lives here.
The neighborhood is made up of several families who are practicing a self-sufficient model of living, including stewardship of the land, small-scale farming, and vermiculture, among other principles and activities. Those families who still lives in Broadwell are trying to restore their community system and the resilience of their community.
